Bio
Jen Ponton is a bubbly, effervescent and quirky gal with a life devoted to theatre, barbershop music, Muppets and bunnies. After earning her BA in Theatre (Ramapo College of NJ), Jen hopped the Hudson and began to tread the boards of New York. Ms. Ponton has appeared off-Broadway at Playwrights Horizons & The Players Theatre, as well as in several regional theatres.
Current projects include PSYCHO BEACH PARTY (The Theater Project), MRS. GOULD WELCOMES KATE SMITH (St. George Productions), IN A ROUNDABOUT WAY (Puppetry Arts Theatre), and her upcoming one-woman show, FAT CHICKS DON'T GET PLOTLINES.

I've just opened my biographical musical about Kate Smith!
A celebrated singer, recording artist, radio personality and television host, Kate was America's Sweetheart from the time she was 21 (1928) through her death in 1986. She lent her voice to such classics as "When the Moon Comes Over the Mountain" and, at each Yankees game, you'll hear her version of "God Bless America."
Upon introducing Kate to Queen Elizabeth, FDR had been quoted as saying, "Kate Smith is America."
